Six different drivers took part in a private testing day on Tuesday at the Thermal Club, the new IndyCar winter training facility.<\/p>\n

Some of the drivers present hope that their performances will allow them to secure one of the last seats available on the 2025 grid, while others were discovering the single-seaters for the first time.<\/p>\n

This is the case of Logan Sargeant<\/a>, the former driver of the Williams Racing team in Formula 1, during the 2023 season and most of 2024.<\/p>\n

Logan Sargeant completed 59 laps for the Meyer Shank Racing team<\/b> on the private circuit in Thermal, Southern California. He set the fastest time in the late afternoon, although lap times are unofficial during private testing sessions. Despite his good performance, Logan Sargeant is not guaranteed a contract for next season.<\/p>\n

\u00ab It was really fun,” declared the American after the first part of his session. \u00ab It was pretty much what I expected, it’s a car with really unique features to drive.”<\/p>\n

(e) I think there is still a lot to do to get the most out of it. I start to feel more comfortable at the end of the morning, and we will see what we can do in the next sessions.<\/p>\n

The Thermal Club, used as a venue for tests and exhibitions in recent years, will host a full round of the IndyCar championship in 2025. The race is scheduled for March 23<\/b>.<\/p>\n
