This new hypercar, presented at Goodwood, pays homage to its history. Its name, SC63, recalls the creation of Squadra Corse in 1963. It also features a green livery, worthy of the latest road models from the Italian brand.<\/p>\n

No more aesthetic introductions, time for the technical specifications. The prototype will be powered by a 3.8-liter V8 engine, equipped with a twin turbo. These turbos will be located outside the engine’s angle to facilitate cooling, reduce weight, and optimize the center of gravity. The hybrid system will be only on the rear wheels, since the model is participating in LMDh.<\/p>\n

A French person in the team<\/h2>\n

Only one car will be entered in WEC next year. A second one will be entered in IMSA. The first race of the Italian racing car will not take place at the 24 Hours of Daytona, as tradition dictates. The objective is to have it approved before the start of the WEC season. The Iron Lynx team, already well represented in endurance racing, is in charge of operating the car.<\/p>\n

The SC63 is the most advanced racing car ever produced by Lamborghini and it follows our roadmap “Direzione Cor Tauri” set by the brand for the electrification of our product range. The opportunity to race in the world’s biggest endurance races with a hybrid prototype aligns with our vision for the future of high-performance mobility, explains Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini.<\/p>\n

Lamborghini will be able to count on four drivers, namely Mirko Bortolotti, Andrea Caldarelli, Romain Grosjean and Daniil Kvyat. The future recruits will be announced by the end of the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
