Formula 1 is about to revive one of its iconic traditions: champagne on the podiums of Grand Prix. F1 leaders have entered into a partnership with Mo\u00ebt Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), the French luxury giant, as part of a historic sponsorship deal worth 930 million euros, setting a record in the history of the sport.<\/p>\n
Starting in 2025, this partnership with LVMH will begin for a period of ten years, with a commitment of over $100 million per season (approximately 90 million euros). Mo\u00ebt & Chandon, one of the flagship brands of the group since 1987, will be honored to celebrate the victories of the drivers, replacing Ferrari Trentino, which had been providing sparkling wine bottles since 2021.<\/p>\n
However, on Middle Eastern tracks, where alcohol is prohibited, rose water will continue to be used, as has been the case since the beginning of the partnership with Ferrari Trentino.<\/p>\n
This agreement, which should be officially confirmed in the next few hours, is not limited to the symbolic aspect of champagne. It could also bring back the iconic shout Champagne! \u00bb, a ritual led for years by the podium presenter, Bob Constanduros.<\/p>\n
