After The yellow, green, and blue of the late Ayrton Senna in Monaco<\/a>, now it’s the turn of the design of the famous red and white McLaren MP4 to be celebrated in the other city-state. This design was featured on their single-seaters between 1974 and 1996, during the time of the partnership with Marlboro.<\/p>\n

No return to red.<\/h2>\n

The special livery designed with McLaren’s sponsor OKX will therefore feature this historical look. The orange of the Papayas will however be kept instead of the red. The names of 13 iconic drivers from the team will also be written around the cockpit. Among them, those of Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, and Nikki Lauda.<\/p>\n

The marketing director of McLaren Racing was pleased to be able to offer a second model embodying the history of the British constructor in Formula 1. “Legend Reborn is an excellent way to celebrate and honor our iconic history, in a way that unites old and new fans,” she said.<\/p>\n

Note that Red Bull will not use its initially planned livery here, for weight reasons, in order to favor reaching the minimum weight and not decrease the performance of the RB20.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
