The Toyota #7 still has a shot at the world title. Currently in second place in the standings after finishing second in Austin, the Japanese car has closed the gap to the Porsche #6 to 12 points.<\/p>\n

Not only the individual ranking will be important in Fuji. The constructors’ ranking too. Toyota leads this ranking with an 11-point advantage over Porsche. The result of these two teams will therefore be crucial for the allocation of the world titles in Bahrain.<\/p>\n

In conquered territory.<\/h2>\n

The Japanese manufacturer will have the opportunity to gain the advantage over the German manufacturer. Toyota won the race last year, thanks to car number 7, driven by Nyck de Vries and Mike Conway. The Japanese team has actually won nine of the last ten races at the foot of Mount Fuji. This places the team at the top of the predictions less than a week before the event.<\/p>\n
