Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) are called to appear before the FIA race stewards after their on-track incident. Indeed, at the end of the Hungarian Grand Prix, as the two men were fighting for a place on the podium, Max Verstappen was behind the Mercedes driver but with fresher tires, an impressive collision occurred, fortunately without consequences for the two drivers.<\/p>\n
Max Verstappen tried everything by braking very late at turn 1. So late that he had to lock all four wheels to take the turn. With Lewis Hamilton on the inside, the Briton tried to take the turn, blocked by the Red Bull. The Mercedes hit Verstappen’s right rear tire and the wheel engagement caused the Red Bull to take off, fortunately, without causing a rollover or mechanical damage.<\/p>\n
With significantly damaged tires and a wide pass, Max Verstappen will ultimately finish 5th in the Hungarian Grand Prix race but is now under investigation by the FIA. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton was able to finish the race in third place.<\/p>\n
The two drivers are therefore currently subject to the judgment of the race commissioners.<\/p>\n
