There are some small changes at Williams, at least regarding technical positions. The British team has promoted Adam Kenyon as head of aerodynamics, reports F1.com. A position that had remained vacant since the end of 2022, when David Wheater left, at the same time as former team principal Jost Capito and French engineer Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Demaison.<\/p>\n

Under the leadership of the new team director James Vowles, who came directly from Mercedes, Pat Fry had already joined Williams as technical director last year, having previously worked at McLaren, Ferrari, and Alpine.<\/p>\n

Also from Mercedes<\/b>, Adam Kenyon was already head of the aerodynamics group before taking on this new responsibility. \u00ab Adam Kenyon is our head of aerodynamics – it happened without much fanfare in March of this year<\/b>, Vowles told F1.com. \u00ab I worked with Adam at Mercedes and he was at Red Bull before that. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab He was an aeronautical chief, but an extraordinary aeronautical chief, and truly, he led the operations and did a good job. I just wanted to make sure he was capable of taking on this role because it was a big plus for him \u00bb, James Vowles continues.<\/p>\n

Translate: \u00ab He is doing marvelously well. He restructures and introduces excellence<\/b> and uses the excellence we now have to focus not on one year, but on three or four years<\/b>. And that’s a big change from what it was. We are strengthening the team around him. \u00bb<\/p>\n

To complete this major overhaul of Williams, James Vowles hopes to sign Carlos Sainz next year, the Spaniard still being without a seat. He admitted at the Canadian Grand Prix that he was their top choice to join Alex Albon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
