The 1812 kilometers of Qatar provided a fantastic ten-hour race, with the victory of Porsche and its No. 6 from Penske. Kevin Estre was part of the winners!<\/p>\n

The second round, out of the eight this season, will take place at Imola. It is the first time that the WEC goes there since its creation in 2012.<\/p>\n

This circuit profile is so different from that of Losail: very narrow and few overtaking opportunities. The cards will inevitably be reshuffled.<\/p>\n

Hypercar: Ferrari, the biggest beneficiary?<\/h2>\n

The favorites Ferrari and Toyota were greatly mistreated by the BoP in Qatar. The Japanese manufacturer, in any case, will benefit from a nice slimming cure, since 29 kg have been removed from the balance (the GR010 will weigh only 1060 kg).<\/p>\n

Ferrari could make good use of its BoP, as the organization has removed no less than 34 kg from it. The official numbers 50 and 51, as well as number 83 from AF Corse, will be the lightest LMHs (1041 kg).<\/p>\n

A good boost was also given to Lamborghini: the SC63 was already close to the minimum weight in Losail and will be even more so (1034 kg). The same goes for the third Italian brand in the category: Isotta Fraschini, which loses 27 kg (1058). A Ferrari-Lamborghini duel wouldn’t be bad to see in front of the Tifosi!<\/p>\n

All manufacturers are going on a weight loss program: Alpine will be lightened and will weigh only 1042 kg. The only exception will be Peugeot, which will introduce the new version of its 9X8, with a rear wing. The Peugeot will remain fixed at 1061 kg.<\/p>\n

The available power below 210 km\/h will be the highest for Isotta Fraschini (520 KW, or 707 horsepower). The least well-off at this level will be the winner, Porsche, with 508 KW (690 hp). The idea is to bring everyone together in much smaller differences.<\/p>\n

LMGT3: few changes in weight<\/h2>\n

As we reported to you during the presentation of the 1812 km of Losail, the LMGT3 BoP differs slightly from that of the Hypercar.<\/a><\/p>\n

A classification of engine power is established from P0 (the maximum) to P15 (the lowest power). Of the nine manufacturers competing in this category, the best power will go to Porsche (which won at Losail with Manthey) and BMW. The two German brands will be in P4 mode.<\/p>\n

Aston Martin will once again be at a significant disadvantage, as the Vantage (with D’Station and Heart of Racing) will have the P15. Lamborghini follows, for its home round, with the P14 mode. Not practical…<\/p>\n

But be careful: the Manthey Competition PureX Porsche will be the most powerful, but also the heaviest: 1347 kg will have to be propelled, while the sister car, from the Manthey Ema team, will be one of the lightest (1317 kg).<\/p>\n

The Aston Martin from D’Station Racing will be the lightest, weighing only 1316 kg. However, it will have the lowest power output.<\/p>\n

On the French side, Akkodis, with its two Lexus cars, will still not be spoiled: certainly, the power goes from P6 to P5, but the No. 78 and 87 will remain stuck at 1345 kg.<\/p>\n

But the BoP is not the sole peacemaker of an endurance race: the Imola round, over six hours, could offer a great deal of excitement and surprises.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
