From the start, trouble began as Colapinto and O’Sullivan could not start from their positions. Both on the same starting line, in 12th and 13th place, all the drivers behind them found themselves in a traffic jam but managed to avoid a collision nonetheless.<\/p>\n
A little further on, some contacts caused a lot of debris on the track during the first corners and the safety car had to make its entry onto the track from the first lap. One of the first to retire was the French driver Victor Martins, who fell victim to several collisions and broke his suspensions. He started in 7th place and will start in 3rd place tomorrow in the feature race with an extra chance to finally start his season off.<\/p>\n
With the safety car on track, the two drivers who couldn’t start were still able to catch up to the pack in order to clean up the debris. So, at the front, we have Paul Aron leading ahead of Robert Verschoor.<\/p>\n
With the peloton regrouped, there are some beautiful battles taking place, and it is especially Zane Maloney, winner of the first two races in Bahrain, who is taking advantage of it. The young Dutchman, Robert Verschoor, won the first race of the week in F2 in Jeddah. He finished ahead of the Danish driver Denis Hauger and the Estonian Paul Aron in a race with many twists and turns.
