The 2023 season was catastrophic for Haas, although the team scored 12 points, in contrast to their zero points in 2021, they once again finished at the bottom of the constructor standings.<\/p>\n

Nico H\u00fclkenberg finished 16th in the championship out of the 22 drivers from last season, with nine points, while his teammate Kevin Magnussen only scored three points and finished in 19th place. Following these poor results, G\u00fcnther Steiner was not renewed by Gene Haas and was replaced by Ayao Komatsu at the helm of the team.<\/p>\n

The development went rather well.<\/h2>\n

Haas was the first team to unveil its race car, the VF-24, on February 2nd<\/a>. If the American team wants to move up from the back of the grid, the new race car will not be a revolution compared to the previous one. Kevin Magnussen pointed out the flaws of the 2023 Haas and remains positive about this year’s race car.<\/p>\n

The VF-23 was very unstable and inconsistent. It’s something I struggled a bit with. I want the front end to be at least consistent so I can deal with oversteer or understeer, details Kevin Magnussen.<\/p>\n

It’s not that I have a preference. It’s the inconsistency, especially at the end of the turn, where I have to focus on the car’s turn and stay on the brakes. Austin’s car helped me a lot. It wasn’t a big step, but it was a step in the right direction, and I hope it will be an even bigger step in that direction this year, explains the Dane.<\/p>\n
