While McLaren released a video a few days ago, on its social media platforms, titled “quoi qu’il en co\u00fbte” (whatever it takes), the British team has just unveiled its new livery, also on its social media platforms.<\/p>\n

The race car will keep McLaren’s typical papaya orange color, but trades the sky blue for black. It is not specified whether it is black paint, or visible carbon fiber like on the Mercedes W14. As race cars are getting heavier, removing paint represents a weight-saving measure that can be significant for the teams.<\/p>\n

Do better than the 2023 season.<\/h2>\n

McLaren finished the season in fourth place in the constructor’s standings with 302 points and nine podiums. Lando Norris finished in sixth place in the driver’s championship with seven podiums and 207 points. Meanwhile, his teammate Oscar Piastri finished ninth in the standings with a victory in the Sprint race in Qatar, two podiums, and 97 points.<\/p>\n

If the overall result for the 2023 season is positive, McLaren’s season start was a nightmare. The team was behind Alpine, in seventh place in the constructor’s championship, until the British Grand Prix, where both cars benefited from improvements. Norris secured the team’s first podium, while Piastri finished fourth.<\/p>\n

McLaren will want to get closer to the fight for victory and the title with the objective of bringing down the almost untouchable Red Bulls from last year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
