This driver making his debut in Shanghai this weekend recorded the team’s best time of the day with a 1:39.224 in the second session, placing him in 19th position, more than a second behind the top 12. Sakon also completed the day’s work, although both drivers struggled to find a comfortable balance with the hard tire option.<\/p>\n
Adrian Sutil – 22nd and 19th<\/b><\/p>\n
“At the beginning of the day, the track was almost uncontrollable and it was very difficult to stay on the track. Towards the end of the day, it got much better and I think we can expect an improvement tomorrow. We ran with hard and medium tires and found that the balance was better with softer tires.”<\/p>\n
“With softer tires, the races were good, but with hard tires we don’t seem to be able to make them work at the moment because I think we have to wait until the track gets a bit more grip. Overall, it was a normal day.”<\/p>\n
Sakon Yamamoto – 21st and 22nd<\/b><\/p>\n
“Today we didn’t have any problems and we were able to complete our program. In general, we gathered a lot of data.”<\/p>\n
“In the afternoon we tried both types of tires, but unfortunately at the end of the second session when we had a new set of tires, we couldn’t get the best out of them to thus improve our times. We need to study why now and tomorrow we can move forward.”<\/p>\n

“It was a reasonably productive day with both cars. Adrian started to visualize the circuit, though it was very difficult because the grip conditions were not optimal.”<\/p>\n
“The track slightly improved towards the end of the day, and the combination that seemed to perform well for us with the team during previous races proved effective once again.
