Toro Rosso saw its only point it had obtained in the race taken away last weekend in Japan. Strengthened by this experience, the small Scuderia is heading back into the fight more determined, knowing that it only has two races left to secure that coveted point.<\/p>\n

In China, the situation seems quite bleak considering the day’s performances by the two drivers, Liuzzi and Vettel. Their positions throughout the day fluctuate between 17th and 21st place, but with a decent number of laps completed. Each driver covered 58 laps over the combined two practice sessions.<\/p>\n

Vitantonio Liuzzi – 17th and 18th<\/b><\/p>\n

“A decent Friday as we covered a high number of laps without any issues. We have a clear picture regarding the tires. The performance and tire option were not as effective and evident as we might have imagined.”<\/p>\n

“We already have a good idea of the option that will be favored for qualifying and the race. Overall, a positive day, but we still need to improve as our lap times are quite long, even though the fuel level is known.”<\/p>\n

Sebastian Vettel – 20th and 21st<\/b><\/p>\n

“It’s often the case on Fridays and today was no exception to the rule, the track lacked grip this morning, which made it difficult, but this afternoon, things improved as more rubber went down.”<\/p>\n

“However, looking globally at where we are today, we cannot be satisfied, and there are many things to do to improve the whole. Thus, the first task will be to analyze the races and, if all goes well, take a step forward tomorrow morning.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
