{"id":27757,"date":"2007-10-23T17:18:25","date_gmt":"2007-10-23T17:18:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/4375-mclaren-appeals-but-not-for-driver-title"},"modified":"2007-10-23T17:18:25","modified_gmt":"2007-10-23T17:18:25","slug":"4375-mclaren-appeals-but-not-for-driver-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/4375-mclaren-appeals-but-not-for-driver-title","title":{"rendered":"McLaren appeals, but not for the driver title!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The McLaren Mercedes team formally appealed on Tuesday against the decision not to sanction the BMW Sauber and Williams teams for irregular fuel usage during the Brazilian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab It&#8217;s not a matter of assuming that our team will win the world title by default: we just want to get clarification on the rules. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab We think we are doing this in the interest of all teams, \u00bb said Norbert Haug, executive representative of Mercedes Sport, in a press statement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab This call must confirm and specify the rules regarding fuel temperature limits. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>McLaren seeks the disqualification of Nico Rosberg from the Williams &#8211; Toyota team, and Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld from the BMW Sauber team. They finished fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively at the Brazilian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>The McLaren Mercedes team informed the FIA of their intention to appeal an hour after the decision not to penalize the BMW Sauber and Williams teams.<\/p>\n<p>We remind you that a statement released Sunday evening by Interlagos officials said they could not say with certainty whether the fuel temperature in the cars was at the maximum allowable limit set by the regulations or not.<\/p>\n<p>The court of appeal will meet on a date that has not yet been determined as of today.
