I believe all the conditions are met today for this team to be called as such, \u00bb Mallya told Reuters during the Brazilian Grand Prix last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Mallya, who, together with Spyker F1 director Michel Mol, led a consortium to acquire the team last month, indicated that the team and the brand&#8217;s logo are likely to incorporate India&#8217;s national colors. However, no official announcement regarding Indian drivers has been made yet.<\/p>\n<p>Having already expressed his desire to bring back the promising Adrian Sutil, Mallya stated that he would like to see a more experienced driver in the second car.<\/p>\n<p>Ralf Schumacher has been mentioned for this position, as has Jarno Trulli, who is also expected to leave the Japanese manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need a driver of a certain caliber who can help the team in its quest for performance,&#8221; said Mallya.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab We cannot afford to hire a mere recruit &#8230; for better performance, I need a driver who has already proven themselves, \u00bb he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spyker will therefore become Force India in 2008 after its official request for a name change was accepted Wednesday by the FIA council.
