The Grizzly is stepping down from his position at the head of Citro\u00ebn Sport, to be replaced by Olivier Quesnel, the current general director of the Hommell press group.<\/p>\n<p>After a rich career entirely devoted to motorsport, Guy Fr\u00e9quelin has decided to exercise his right to retire. By mutual agreement with the Brand and staying true to the guiding principle that a race is only won once the finish line is crossed, he will continue to lead the Citro\u00ebn Sport team and the crews until the end of this 2007 World Rally Championship season, aiming for a fourth world title for the S\u00e9bastien Loeb-Daniel Elena team.<\/p>\n<p>It is Olivier Quesnel who will take over at the head of Citro\u00ebn Sport starting January 1, 2008. However, he will be with the team starting at the Rally Ireland, the penultimate event of the 2007 World Rally Championship.<\/p>\n<p>After following Patrick Tambay&#8217;s career, Olivier Quesnel began in motor racing in 1978 with the Simca Racing Team competition department, then was involved in the creation of Peugeot Sport under the direction of Jean Todt. In 1988, he ran his own racing cars with the METAL 5 team that he himself created, which included Jean-Pierre Malcher and Bruno Saby. His passion for motorsport also led him to gather a collection of Group B vehicles as part of the Loh\u00e9ac automobile museum.
