The A1 Team Switzerland delivered a very strong performance in the third round of the A1GP season. Neel Jani, in top form, clocked the fastest times of the day, securing pole positions for both the Sprint Race (No. 1) and the Feature Race (No. 2). France, for its part, is not far behind.<\/p>\n

The car was perfect, said Neel Jani. We were able to improve it, but even for me, the last lap was a very big surprise! I tried to drive simply, maybe that’s the secret to being fast\u2026<\/p>\n

France, currently tied for 5th in the championship with Switzerland, will have the opportunity to gain significant points, which will not be the case for New Zealand, even though they are leading the championship, but only qualified in 6th and 10th.<\/p>\n

South Africa is in the same situation as New Zealand. Adrian Zaugg qualified only 8th and 9th.<\/p>\n

Malaysia is not performing well at home. With a former F1 driver, Alex Yoong, the Asian team will only start 19th and 15th.<\/p>\n

Qualification 1 \u2013 Sprint –<\/b><\/p>\n

The Swiss edged out the Frenchman Loic Duval \u2013 who is racing this weekend \u2013 by just 69 milliseconds.<\/p>\n

The two men have more than a second and a half over the third, Olivier Jarvis for Great Britain. Michael Ammermuller is in 4th place with Germany for his first in A1GP. He is ahead of another rookie for Canada with Robert Wickens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Qualification 2 \u2013 Endurance –<\/b><\/p>\n

We take the same ones and start over. We indeed find the top 4 from the first qualification arranged in a different order. N\u00e9el Jani also secures pole position, but this time he is ahead of the Englishman Jarvis and the German Ammermuller by more than a second.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman records the 4th best time and then surpasses the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
