He made this statement Thursday after the tests the driver conducted on their behalf in Jerez.<\/p>\n<p>The German, younger brother of the seven-time world champion Michael, was considered one of the drivers competing to secure the second and final race driver spot within the Indian team.<\/p>\n<p>Schumacher being without a fixed team in 2008 after his departure a few weeks ago from Toyota.<\/p>\n<p>Schumacher participated for the first time in Jerez in testing with the Force India team, but his day was eventful. He ultimately finished last in the session.<\/p>\n<p>Giancarlo Fisichella and Franck Montagny also participated in these tests with Force India; however, Schumacher acknowledged that these tests did not constitute a shoot-out, meaning a sort of evaluation of several drivers for ultimately one place.<\/p>\n<p>He admitted, however, that he is not interested in the race car driver position that is available.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab It wasn&#8217;t a shoot-out. I don&#8217;t think I will be with Force India next year. I want to achieve something specific and I don&#8217;t think I could do it with this team, \u00bb said Schumacher to autosport.com after the tests.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab I&#8217;m going back home now, and we&#8217;ll see how things develop.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Schumacher reportedly told Sport Bild: \u00ab It is possible that these tests are my last laps in an F1 car. \u00bb<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ralf Schumacher said he was not interested in driving a single-seater for the Force India team.
