The BMW team concluded, alone, its first week of private testing with the F1.08 in Valencia, Spain.<\/p>\n

Nick Heidfeld, as yesterday, was behind the wheel of the F1.08. The German completed 92 laps with only one mechanical issue, late in the morning when the steering of his car locked up. He had to go off the track, losing a few precious tens of minutes.<\/p>\n
Robert Kubica, his teammate, had an upgraded version of the F1.07. A version B with which he completed 42 laps without encountering the slightest problem.<\/p>\n
Willy Rampf, the technical director of the team that was the runner-up in the 2007 World Championship, was thrilled with his 4 days of testing: \u00ab Apart from this morning, we didn’t have any major reliability issues\u2026 \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab We were able to complete a large number of laps all week with the new single-seater. We have thus been able to gather a large amount of useful data. This will allow us to set our testing program for next week in Valencia. \u00bb<\/p>\n
