It is Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen in the Ferrari F2008 who set the fastest time on the 4th and final day of private testing for the week in Valencia (Spain).<\/p>\n

The Finnish driver recorded the second-best performance of the week with a time about two-tenths slower than his teammate, achieved the day before.<\/p>\n

With 88 laps, the Finn leads his compatriot Heikki Kovalainen in the McLaren MP4\/23 by two-tenths. Felipe Massa records the third-best performance in the other F2008.<\/p>\n

Kazuki Nakajima, very impressive yesterday with the Williams FW30, delivers another strong performance but this time with the FW30. He even surpasses the 2007 vice world champion Lewis Hamilton.<\/p>\n

BMW made progress for this last session of the week where Robert Kubica with the F1.08 recorded the 6th fastest time while his teammate, Heidfeld with the F1.07, achieved the 8th fastest time.<\/p>\n

Between the two German cars is the Toro Rosso of Sebastian Vettel. Timo Glock also improves with the new Toyota and places the TF108 in 9th position ahead of Fisichella in the Force India, surprisingly well placed.<\/p>\n

Renault, which was racing with Nelson Piquet, is only 11th with the R28. The Frenchman Bourdais is behind in 12th position, while the parent company Red Bull is 13th with the RB4 and Mark Webber. The Australian tried to run on track as much as possible before having to retire due to a crack in his chassis.<\/p>\n

Honda with the new RA108 is still far behind in 16th and 17th position. Button is indeed ahead of Kogure, a Japanese driver tested by the team with a car from last year.<\/p>\n

Trulli (Toyota) and Williams test driver Nico H\u00fclkenberg are in 14th and 15th position respectively but are not among those responsible for the five red flags waved during this fourth day: S\u00e9bastien Bourdais due to an engine problem, as well as Nelson Piquet. Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Fisichella also stopped on the track for reasons still undetermined.<\/p>\n
