However, in 2008 he will compete for the Independents&#8217; Trophy and not the official championship as he did last year.<\/p>\n<p>The young 23-year-old Dutchman was driving an Alfa Romeo 156 for the N. Technology team in 2007 alongside James Thompson. With Alfa Romeo&#8217;s withdrawal of support in the WTCC, N. Technology is uncertain about racing with multiple drivers and has only officially confirmed Thompson.<\/p>\n<p>Tielemans, out of caution, therefore preferred to find a place elsewhere and will drive a BMW 320si for the Wiechers-Sport team this season.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab I learned a lot from James [Thompson] last year and I will try to put this experience to good use. Wiechers is truly one of the most professional and competitive teams in the WTCC. Therefore, I am really looking forward to working with them this season. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Wiechers-Sport should announce shortly the name of a teammate for Olivier Tielemans.
