Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen achieved a 100% score during the three days of testing scheduled in Bahrain. The driver of the new Ferrari F2008 set the fastest time for the third consecutive day.<\/p>\n
The Finnish world champion completed 74 laps and was one-tenth faster than his best lap the day before, already two seconds quicker than the 2007 record. He was ahead of Felipe Massa, his teammate, who replaced Luca Badoer in the second F2008.<\/p>\n
The Brazilian experienced some technical issues and lost several hours in the pits but still managed to complete 72 laps of the Sakhir circuit.<\/p>\n
On its side, and still more slowly than Ferrari, the Toyota team completed its program with Jarno Trulli and Kamui Kobayashi at the wheel of the TF108. Both men worked on the set-up and development of the new single-seater, which concludes its first phase of advancement today.<\/p>\n
Jarno Trulli, unlike yesterday, was pleased with the work done on this Wednesday: “It was a better day for us because we didn’t have any technical problems and the weather improved even more,” he stated.<\/p>\n
\u00ab We covered a large number of laps, which is important because we had quite a few things to test and we needed to gather information on the different setups. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab So everything went well today and we are making progress. Of course, there are still improvements to be made, but we are advancing well. \u00bb<\/p>\n
The two Toyotas are two seconds behind the F2008, enough to scare the Japanese team currently. The team will, however, have the opportunity to improve starting Saturday for a new three-day session with Ferrari and other teams on the same circuit in Bahrain.<\/p>\n
