Arriving too fast, the South African at home also side-swiped Jeroen Bleekemolen (A1 Team Netherlands) forcing the other drivers to brake suddenly.<\/p>\n<p>Seven single-seaters were involved in the incident in total. With only 10 cars remaining on the track, the race officials had to prematurely interrupt this second race under the Durban sun.<\/p>\n<p>For having been the cause of the red flag, Zaugg, who finished in seventh position, was penalized with a $1000 fine but was able to keep his position.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab I am truly sorry for what happened, \u00bb said Zaugg after the race. \u00ab I didn&#8217;t brake early enough and my tires being cold after the time spent behind the Safety Car&#8230; \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab I moved to the inside of the corner, and I had low grip while braking. Then, when I reached the curb, I completely lost control of the car and hit the Netherlands&#8217; car&#8230; \u00bb Concluded the South African.<\/p>\n<p>Adrian Zaugg is currently 4th in the standings, a few points behind New Zealand.
