Ralf Schumacher declares having enjoyed his time with the Toyota team in Formula 1 despite the lack of success over the three years.<\/p>\n
The German driver joined Toyota in 2005 with the firm intention of helping the Japanese team secure a spot at the top of the grid.<\/p>\n
This never happened and Schumacher only achieved three podiums in 53 Grand Prix before deciding to move to DTM, as F1 was not an option for him in 2008.<\/p>\n
Despite the lack of results, Schumacher admits, in retrospect, that he had a great time with Toyota.<\/p>\n
\u00ab I liked that period. There are many people with whom I have stayed in contact. Apart from a few strange management decisions, it’s a great team, \u00bb declared the German.<\/p>\n
The start of the winter tests wasn’t very good, but in Barcelona, the team made real progress. I hope it will be able to achieve something serious this year, I wish them good luck.<\/p>\n
The younger brother of the seven-time world champion admitted not being interested in F1 testing like Michael does for Ferrari.<\/p>\n
