The sole tire manufacturer and official supplier for the Formula 1 World Championship remains satisfied with the overall performances.<\/p>\n<p>The tires available for the teams and drivers this weekend were the softs (white bands on the tire) and the mediums (or harder tires).<\/p>\n<p><b>Hirohide Hamashima &#8211; Tire Development Director:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Today, we had good performances with both the Bridgestone Potenza soft and medium tires. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab We will analyze our data in more detail, but the initial indications show that generally the medium tire was slightly better in race conditions. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab On the other hand, the soft tires were victims of graining, particularly when the track was dusty at the beginning of the weekend, but both types of tires were resilient enough to allow for a one-stop strategy, and we are therefore satisfied with that \u00bb, continues the Japanese.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Only seven single-seaters made it to the finish. It was a very eventful race with drivers we don&#8217;t always expect to see in those positions. So we finished Australia well and now we have our thoughts on Malaysia.
