Thanks to its partner, Petronas, the team is almost racing on home turf. It’s an opportunity to shine and especially to confirm the very good performances of Kubica, but especially of Heidfeld who secured the second spot on the podium in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

\u00ab For years, the Malaysian Grand Prix has been a special race for me. Petronas was already a partner of Sauber when I raced for them from 2001 to 2003, and we used to do promotional tours in the country. \u00bb<\/p>\n
In Formula 1, you don’t often get the chance to see beyond airports, hotels, and circuits. You simply don’t have the time to get to know a country and its people. But I know Malaysia, I feel at home there.<\/p>\n
\u00ab It always takes a little time to acclimate to the heat and the ambient humidity due to our proximity to the equator, but it has never been a problem for me. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab The circuit is beautiful and demanding. Last year, I had a great race at Sepang, finishing fourth. I managed to overtake Felipe Massa and keep him behind me. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab I can’t wait to be in Malaysia because Sepang is a very challenging track that I really like. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab Of course, the weather conditions are extreme, which adds an extra challenge. But we have already experienced very high temperatures in Melbourne, so we have a bit of a chance to adapt. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab Last year, our car was very competitive. Which means I have a rank to honor. The Malaysian Grand Prix is a very special race for us because of our partner Petronas. We have a lot of fans there. \u00bb<\/p>\n
