This may be an opportunity for Bridgestone to use its tires suited for wet conditions.<\/p>\n<p><b>Hirohide Hamashima &#8211; Director of Tire Development at Bridgestone Motorsport:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We are excited about the second race of the season in Malaysia. The Sepang circuit is one of the tracks that has offered us the most challenges over the years. It will be interesting to discover the new surface that now covers this circuit.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Sepang is an official calendar event where the tires are put to the test with two long straights leading to corners that must be taken at low speed, meaning heavy braking. In the absence of traction control, drivers will have to be very careful not to lock their brakes and damage the tires. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Humid heat is a major reason why we will land in Malaysia with our two hardest compounds. Tire grip is mentioned here because teams use low fuel levels, placing even more emphasis on the tires.
