Nakajima, for his part, was a bit more withdrawn, due to mechanical issues that prevented him from completing the morning tests successfully. Williams continues its preparations for tomorrow’s qualifying tonight.<\/p>\n
Nico Rosberg – 4th and 12th:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab The track is very different today due to the new asphalt. I think everyone started from scratch. For us, the day went well; I think we made a step forward to achieve better results than in Australia. \u00bb<\/p>\n
The single-seater seems very good on the long straights and I am quite happy with what we have achieved. We tried a lot of things, just to see what would happen. The track was much better during the second session, but I am quite satisfied with our overall work on this first day.<\/p>\n
Kazuki Nakajima – 12th and 11th:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab It was hot today! Of course, it’s a shame to have ended there this morning with the problem we encountered. Nevertheless, I still managed to record fifteen timed laps in the last 30 minutes of the morning, so I limited the damage. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab We still need to tackle a number of things on the car to be fully ready for tomorrow in terms of setup. But the car improved throughout the second session of the day, and by the end of the 90 minutes, I was starting to feel a better balance. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Sam Michael – Technical Director:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab We had a productive day with a program for both cars that was completed. We must now think about our race strategy in terms of tires, but also on cooling the engines so they can withstand the humid ambient heat. During the first session, we had a number of issues with Kazuki’s car. \u00bb<\/p>\n
