Max Mosley does not intend to resign from his position as FIA president, despite the scandal of his alleged sexual exploits revealed in a British tabloid.<\/p>\n
The former world champion, Jody Scheckter said to the Guardian on Tuesday: \u00ab There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Mosley should resign. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab From a purely sporting point of view, we cannot afford to have someone like that at the head of an organization. \u00bb<\/p>\n
However, sources close to Mosley have confirmed that he intends to continue his mandate. Furthermore, he is in discussion with his lawyers to file a lawsuit against the newspaper.<\/p>\n
The extensive media coverage of this information could lead to the outright cancellation of his planned trip to Bahrain this weekend.<\/p>\n
He had planned to attend the event with the royal family of Bahrain, but chose not to go in order to avoid any risk of confusion with anyone.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the FIA stated that no decision has been made yet.<\/p>\n

The head of Formula 1, Bernie Ecclestone, for his part, suggested that it might be better if Mosley did not attend the race.<\/p>\n
