The 2005 champion became the first man to win a race in an old car, specifically a 2006 Mercedes, during the second race of the 2007 season.<\/p>\n
The driver, who is preparing to spend a second year in an older car, has a more consistent approach this year.<\/p>\n
\u00ab We won a race last year. It’s much more than we hoped for, but we can’t imagine repeating such an achievement, \u00bb said Paffett.<\/p>\n
\u00ab It would of course be great to do it again. We need to be more consistent not just in one race but across all the races of the season. \u00bb<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old Briton scored points in five races in 2007 and only broke into the top 8 at the end of the season when Mercedes and Audi developed their new cars.<\/p>\n
\u00ab The car is much better than last year’s model, \u00bb he added.<\/p>\n
