Stevens, like Lewis Hamilton, was spotted in the British karting championship. He is already considered one of the best prospects in motorsport, and Honda will support him in this capacity to develop his pure performance and later integrate him into the Honda F1 Development.<\/p>\n
“We are delighted to welcome this ambitious new recruit to the Honda Racing F1 Team,” said the sporting director of the Japanese brand, Ron Meadows.<\/p>\n
\u00ab Will [Stevens] has had a very promising career in karting to date, and we look forward to helping him by enabling him to reach the Junior Formulas initially, before one day reaching Formula 1. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Stevens visited the Honda F1 Racing factory today alongside Ross Brawn and Nick Fry: \u00ab I am extremely proud to join the team, which gives me an excellent opportunity to progress in my career to reach my ultimate goal, Formula One \u00bb. commented the 16-year-old driver.<\/p>\n
