Switzerland became the third A1 team to win the championship this afternoon in Great Britain. Neel Jani’s fourth-place finish in the first race was enough to secure the third A1 GP championship in the history of automobile sports.<\/p>\n
Race no. 1 – Sprint<\/b><\/p>\n
Robbie Kerr delivered a strong performance in the first race of the weekend, securing his third victory in the discipline. The British driver has thus put his team in a position to reach the final podium.<\/p>\n
The USA, Ireland, Switzerland, and India complete the top 5. The Frenchman, Franck Montagny, the tricolor representative, only finishes in 10th position, thus retaining his place in the qualifications.<\/p>\n

Behind Switzerland, China and France complete the top 5. Franck Montagny’s good performance is nevertheless insufficient to keep a place on the podium. By three points, France drops to 4th in the championship, overtaken at the last minute by Great Britain.<\/p>\n
