The Scuderia Toro Rosso will use its 2007 car for at least one race. A lack of spare parts has forced the team to abandon the plan to introduce its new STR3 this weekend at the Turkish Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
Indeed, the STR3 was supposed to make its first laps in the race at the Istanbul Grand Prix, knowing that so far Toro Rosso had been using a modified version of the STR2B since the first races of the season.<\/p>\n
But a major accident caused by S\u00e9bastien Bourdais, precisely with the STR3 during private testing in Barcelona, called into question an already tight schedule to manufacture enough parts for the Turkish Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
After evaluating the situation last week, the team decided to keep the STR2B for the next race. A decision on whether or not to introduce the new car in Monaco will be made at the end of this weekend.<\/p>\n
Gerhard Berger, co-owner of the team, stated during the Spanish Grand Prix that there was some reluctance on the part of the small Scuderia to introduce the new car on the streets of Monte Carlo.<\/p>\n
