Anthony Davidson hopes he has provided enough evidence in racing with Super-Aguri to earn a new seat in Formula 1.<\/p>\n
\u00ab I think I can be proud of myself. I really proved what I was capable of. In two races, I finished ahead of my teammate and clocked the 14th fastest time in Bahrain. It’s quite incredible given the car we had, \u00bb commented Davidson to Autosport magazine.<\/p>\n
I remain convinced of my abilities. If I had been able to race mid-season without pressure and uncertainty, imagine the performances I could have achieved with a good car and a stable team. For now, Formula 1 has a taste of unfinished business.<\/p>\n
Davidson suspected, before the start of the season, the imminent end of Super-Aguri, but chose to stay with the team until the end.<\/p>\n
\u00ab I had other options at the beginning of the year, but I felt that we might only achieve three races. I often thought about this. You have to take the bull by the horns and not refuse three F1 races. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab Tuesday was a terrible day for everyone on the team. The guys have all worked tirelessly over the past two years and especially in recent months. \u00bb<\/p>\n
As for Takuma Sato, he clearly stated that he has no intention of retiring.<\/p>\n
\u00ab I will look at the options with my manager and an announcement will be made. However, I have no intention of withdrawing from the F1 world. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab I feel that I can still bring pleasure to my fans and other Japanese supporters who have supported me throughout my career, \u00bb asserted Sato.<\/p>\n
