Opponents on the track, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen are very close off the circuits. The two drivers spend a lot of time together and have a privileged relationship. Both from the same generation (Norris is 23 years old, Verstappen is 25), the two young men have shared the honors of the podium twice this season (Great Britain and Hungary).<\/p>\n

Both of them are the gems of their respective stables, which have nurtured them since their years in promotion formulas until their rise to F1. Verstappen is under contract with Red Bull until 2028 and has no reason to leave his team, which is crushing the competition.<\/p>\n

Norris at Red Bull?<\/h2>\n

Lando Norris, on the other hand, has a contract with McLaren until 2025, and several rumors of his departure emerged a few weeks ago when the Woking team was struggling. A possible interest from Red Bull has been mentioned to replace Sergio Perez, whose contract expires in 2024.<\/p>\n

Questioned at a press conference about a possible future duo with his friend Verstappen, the British driver did not hesitate to praise the qualities of the double world champion and seems excited about the idea of \u200b\u200bone day racing alongside him:<\/p>\n

\u00ab It is certainly something I would be open to in the future. I think I can confidently say that Max is probably one of the best Formula 1 drivers in history. I have never raced against him before being in Formula 1, but I have always been in the lower category. In karting, I already knew him quite well. In 2012-2013, it was the first time I was able to meet him and get to know him, so I was able to witness what he does, and I don’t think it’s just because he is in a good car and able to perform. \u00bb<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n

\u00ab I think that no matter the car he will drive, he will be able to perform at a similar level. Maybe with different results but at a similar level, and I think that at this stage, it would be great to work alongside someone like that and, at the same time, see where I really stand against him. I would be open to that. I invited him to McLaren the other day. So, if he wants to come one of these days, he will be welcome! <\/i>\u00bb<\/p>\n
