The ‘customer’ Formula 1 teams appear to be in a good position in resolving the various issues due to the situation as negotiations progressed last week following meetings between the concerned parties.<\/p>\n
The boss of the Force India team, Colin Kolles, has allied with Super Aguri and Scuderia Toro Rosso to determine if ‘customer’ cars were allowed to score points in the world championships.<\/p>\n
However, the departure of Super-Aguri seems to have been a catalyst in the quest for a solution, even though only two teams were involved in the discussions.<\/p>\n
Kolles met with Red Bull representatives in Salzburg last week. They all worked on a compromise that will satisfy both teams.<\/p>\n
Red Bull’s advisor, Helmut Marko, stated that he was optimistic that a solution could be reached fairly quickly. He added that the parties were close to an agreement.<\/p>\n
The co-owner of Toro Rosso, Gerhard Berger, stated that the weight of the arguments had diminished since Super-Aguri’s exit.<\/p>\n
