{"id":26008,"date":"2008-07-07T16:45:10","date_gmt":"2008-07-07T16:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/6226-theissens-mid-season-report"},"modified":"2008-07-07T16:45:10","modified_gmt":"2008-07-07T16:45:10","slug":"6226-theissens-mid-season-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/6226-theissens-mid-season-report","title":{"rendered":"Theissen&#8217;s Mid-Season Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BMW Motorsport boss Mario Theissen said it would have been difficult to imagine such a good first half of the semester from his team.<\/p>\n<p>The BMW Sauber is currently in second place in the constructors&#8217; standings after achieving seven podium finishes, including a one-two at the Canadian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>The Polish Robert Kubica is two points behind the championship leaders while his teammate Nick Heidfeld is ten points behind.<\/p>\n<p>And for their Grand Prix in Germany at the end of next week, Theissen admitted that it was difficult to imagine such a season.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab It would have been difficult to do better arriving at the German Grand Prix which takes place in two weeks, in Hockenheim, \u00bb affirmed Theissen on the BMW-Sauber website.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab We wanted to compete with the top two teams at the front of the grid and win our first race. We succeeded in doing that. From now on, our goal will be to win as many races as possible. And when the season is over, we will take stock of what has been done. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Concerning lap times, both teams, Ferrari and McLaren, are still faster than us. But when it comes to the reliability of our cars, the work of our teams, and race strategies, we truly represent a good team. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab I am particularly happy that we have managed to achieve all our goals at the start of the season.
