The current FIA president, Max Mosley, won his case against ‘The News of the World,’ which had published revelations about his private life. The Briton is awarded \u00a360,000 in damages (over \u20ac76,000) in addition to costs estimated at about \u00a31 million (nearly \u20ac1,300,000).<\/p>\n
The judgment was delivered this morning. Mosley had filed this lawsuit against the British tabloid for allegations regarding his sex life.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of the year, ‘The News of the World’ revealed that Mosley had been involved in a Nazi-themed orgy with prostitutes.<\/p>\n
Mosley has firmly denied these allegations and has therefore sought legal action against this newspaper for invasion of privacy.<\/p>\n
The case of ‘The News of the World’ was no longer very strong since one of the prostitutes who had filmed the events and sold the story to the tabloid decided not to testify in court.<\/p>\n
