To start, here is the video of the electric contact between a BMW Sauber team mechanic and the F1.08 during the Jerez tests last week.<\/p>\n

It was Nick Heidfeld who was then in the single-seater. He was making his first laps with the KERS system, which is designed to recover the kinetic energy produced by F1 cars. The KERS then allows the accumulated power from braking to be used during acceleration.<\/p>\n

The mechanic received a violent shock but emerged without any major injuries. He spent a night under observation and returned to work the next day.<\/p>\n
