Since that date, attendance has always been strong at this circuit located near Budapest on the Hungaroring because Finnish fans practically consider it a national Grand Prix due to the proximity of the two countries.<\/p>\n
The audience was even larger in 2008 due to the influx of new supporters from Poland thanks to the national hero, Robert Kubica.<\/p>\n
Daroczi stated that the number of spectators in 2008 was 10 to 15% higher than last year.<\/p>\n
During the event, Ecclestone and the Hungarian sports minister signed a new contract, ensuring the race at the Hungaroring until 2016.<\/p>\n
