{"id":25855,"date":"2008-08-22T11:06:06","date_gmt":"2008-08-22T11:06:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/6390-return-of-kers-for-bmw-sauber"},"modified":"2008-08-22T11:06:06","modified_gmt":"2008-08-22T11:06:06","slug":"6390-return-of-kers-for-bmw-sauber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/6390-return-of-kers-for-bmw-sauber","title":{"rendered":"Return of KERS for BMW-Sauber"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After completing its investigation into the accident involving KERS that occurred last month in Jerez during testing, BMW-Sauber will replicate the testing experience before the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Mario Theissen, team director, estimates that their system, which is currently being reassessed after a fundamental problem led to the electrocution of a mechanic, will be operational again within the next two months.<\/p>\n<p>However, it will not be used for the upcoming tests that will take place at Monza from August 27 to 29.<\/p>\n<p>We will relaunch the system at the end of the season, but certainly not for the next event in Monza because these tests will be entirely dedicated to the Monza race.<\/p>\n<p>Theissen believes that the conclusions of this incident, which will be presented both to the FIA and to the competing teams, will have repercussions not only on the KERS system in Formula 1 but also on car development.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab We believe that the results found will be a step forward for KERS and F1 but also for the next hybrid cars that will travel the roads, \u00bb said Theissen regarding the diagnosis of the problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab This problem is related to design. During the investigation, we found not only the reasons for this incident but also other design principles you must adhere to when the system is powered on. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab We have therefore found a solution to the Jerez problem. A detailed design guide will be presented to the FIA and other teams.
