The president of the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers Association), Pedro de la Rosa, reassured his colleagues who are concerned about the effects of the rain forecasted for this race weekend in Singapore.<\/p>\n
Some drivers had expressed concerns about racing at night on a new street circuit. In addition, it is highly likely that rain will increase the level of insecurity. However, De la Rosa stated that he was sure the FIA had the events under control.<\/p>\n
He does not think that the race is any more dangerous than it is during any other race.<\/p>\n
As preparations continue in Marina Bay, Singapore, the Spaniard stated that the GPDA is satisfied with the event’s organization and race director, Charlie Whiting.<\/p>\n

There were heavy rains in Singapore at the start of the week, but as evening approaches, the sky is only overcast.<\/p>\n
Jarno Trulli was the first to express concerns about the situation in Singapore. However, de la Rosa believes that the information provided by Whiting has alleviated some of these concerns. For him, the drivers will quickly adapt to the new challenges on the track.<\/p>\n
