The organizers of the Singapore Grand Prix have made modifications to turn 10 on the Marina Bay circuit as concerns had been raised about curbs at the chicane.<\/p>\n
A number of drivers have requested modifications because by cutting this chicane, these curbs could have had serious consequences on the cars, such as on the suspensions.<\/p>\n
Jenson Button, a driver at Honda Racing, stated: \u00ab If you cut this chicane, it will probably have repercussions on the balance of the cars. It’s strange that no test has been conducted prior at this specific level of the circuit. \u00bb<\/p>\n
But following an inspection by Charlie Whiting, who is in charge of race direction, yesterday afternoon, modifications were made and will be visible from the start of the first free practice sessions.<\/p>\n
These curbs have been smoothed, which will allow cars to drive over them in case one or more drivers make a mistake and cut the chicane.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
