Williams is the first team to reveal its 2009 aerodynamic package. Today, at Kemble Airport, Jonathan Kennard was the first to drive this FW30 equipped with the new front and rear wings.<\/p>\n
The Grove team had already tested this style of rear wing in Barcelona last September, but today, there were also the front wings that had never been seen before. During the Barcelona tests next week, most teams should start testing elements that comply with the 2009 regulations.<\/p>\n
At the aerodynamic level, the 2009 season will see new rules. The wings have been simplified. The front wing is smaller but wider. Drivers will be limited in terms of the number of adjustments from the cockpit. The rear wing is narrower but taller.<\/p>\n
The objective is to improve the quality of the race by allowing drivers to follow each other more closely in fast corners.<\/p>\n
The final versions of the 2009 cars will have slick tires and can be equipped with KERS.<\/p>\n
The former Formula 3 driver, Jonathan Kennard, tested this single-seater today and wanted to express his gratitude to the team after this fabulous experience:<\/p>\n
