It will meet with the FIA next month to present the project.<\/p>\n<p>The FOTA is looking to spice up this event, which is currently divided into three rounds (Q1, Q2, and Q3), where the slower drivers are eliminated in the first two sessions.<\/p>\n<p>The new concept would see the single-seaters join the track at the same time at the start of the session with the same amount of fuel. The slowest driver on a predetermined lap will be eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>After 14 predetermined laps, the six fastest drivers remain to compete for pole position. They will be allowed to change tires but must always drive with the same amount of fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the pole position holder will earn one point in the championship and will be rewarded with a sum of money.<\/p>\n<p>The current format, where the ten fastest drivers compete for the first place with an amount of fuel decided by the teams, often sees pole position awarded to the lightest car.<\/p>\n<p>The FOTA will meet again on December 4th to determine if this idea suits all the teams.
