Today, in Geneva, the FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) is meeting to discuss the highly controversial measures of the F.I.A in the premier category of motorsport.<\/p>\n
The most delicate topic will undoubtedly be Bernie Ecclestone’s proposal to impose a single engine for all teams from 2010, with the displacement reduced to 1.8 liters and turbocharged. This is the same turbo that was banned a few years ago.<\/p>\n
A measure that has already had the effect of a bomb in the paddocks since drivers and even the Ferrari team have simply threatened to withdraw if the proposal were adopted.<\/p>\n
The second point addressed during the meeting will be the proposal for the medal system for the global ranking.<\/p>\n
The third point will be the new idea for qualifications, which would consist of having all the drivers on the track at the same time to fight for pole position and with the same amount of fuel.<\/p>\n
