The current FIA president, Max Mosley, has warned his successors to think carefully before entering the race for presidency. The Briton will wait until June 2009 to make a decision on a possible new term.<\/p>\n
Mosley stated for several months that he was considering not running for a fifth consecutive term that would begin in November 2009. There would be pressure from board members encouraging him to continue.<\/p>\n
A final decision on his future will be made only in the middle of next year.<\/p>\n
Asked on the official Formula 1 website about a possible re-election, Mosley stated: ‘I will make a final decision in June.’<\/p>\n
He added that any potential successor should carefully consider the challenges to be faced before officially announcing their candidacy.<\/p>\n
Talking about the necessary qualities, the FIA president commented: \u00ab A lot of patience and an ability to quickly understand a wide range of technical and legal issues. \u00bb<\/p>\n
