Ferrari does not yet know if it will use its KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) for the start of the season even though the system was installed on the F60 for its first outing.<\/p>\n
The Maranello team has openly declared that it is behind in the development of the KERS. A few weeks ago, Ferrari was even preparing a backup plan in case the system was not ready in time for the start of the season.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the launch of the F60 in Mugello, Italy, team principal Stefano Domenicali admitted that his team needed evidence demonstrating the benefits of the KERS before supporting its introduction in racing.<\/p>\n
