Last year, the Austrian team finished the season in seventh position, one place behind Scuderia Toro Rosso.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are full of confidence at the dawn of this 15th year in F1 (the fifth with a Red Bull car),\u201d said Mateschitz.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab We have two drivers capable of closing the gap with two or three teams. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>At worst, the fifth place would suit me. We need to be at the forefront in the midfield.<\/p>\n<p>Mateschitz also announced that it was unlikely that either of his two teams would start the season equipped with KERS.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t believe that too many teams will launch it this year, and I can&#8217;t imagine our cars being equipped with this device for the start of the season. It&#8217;s much too early. But I fundamentally agree with Max Mosley on introducing KERS in F1 and that the sport should be a leader in technology for mass production of cars.
