Although in 2006, TF1 signed a contract with Bernie Ecclestone extending until 2012, it seems that TF1 has not been able to make its investments profitable.<\/p>\n
In 2008, its advertising revenue amounted to 1.6 billion euros. This prevents TF1 from being put in jeopardy. Etienne Mougeotte (French journalist and vice-president of the TF1 group) stated in 2006 in the magazine Strat\u00e9gie<\/i> that for 2006 to 2009, the rights to Formula 1 were at a financial break-even point, without making a profit.<\/p>\n
Regarding the broadcasts of the Grand Prix, more than 10 out of 17 races will start at 2 p.m. French time. So tune in to the television on March 29 at 7:15 a.m. for F1 \u00e0 la une and at 8:00 a.m. for the Australian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
